A SAFE SPACE
Since 2014, we have been helping homeless and abandoned dogs in the vicinity of Golub-Dobrzyn. Our headquarters are located in the countryside, near the forest, away from large crowds of people. For years, we have found abandoned dogs around our village, which were abandoned in the forest by irresponsible people. This phenomenon intensifies especially in the period before and after the holidays. We take care of such animals, providing them with a safe shelter, constant access to adequate food and veterinary care in our sanctuary. We also deal with adoption procedures: we look for their homes and make sure that they go to a safe place with loving people.

In addition, we cooperate with some local municipal shelters, from where we take sick, old or disabled dogs that require specialist care. Some of them stay with us until the end of their days, others manage to find a permanent home with wonderful people who consciously decide to look after a disabled or senior canine.

In addition to dogs, our asylum is also home to horses, donkeys, cows, goats, sheep, chickens, geese, cats and rabbits. Most of the animals living with us were found, rescue was intervention
or purchased from industrial breeding.

The idea
We are committed to improving the quality of animal life, providing them with a safe shelter and a decent life. It is also important for us that our animals have regular contact with people. Volunteers and visiting groups not only help in caring for them, in their socialization but they also benefit from therapeutic contact with animals themselves.
To a large extent, we help animals directly: with intervention activities, providing temporary homes, veterinary care and supervision of adoption procedures, but mainly we want to help by reaching the source of the problem of animal maltreatment and homelessness, i.e. by educating people
By organizing various types of educational, cultural and art programs, workshops developing emotional awareness, meetings promoting social responsibility and sensitivity to the fate of animals, aimed mainly at children and adolescents, we want to increase the chances that the next generations will treat not only animals better, but also themselves. mutually.
WHO LIVES WITH US
RESIDENTS
A large group of animals live with us permanently. The reasons for which they are not available for adoption are very different: some have serious health problems, some are in the process of recovering from difficult experiences, others play the role of therapists or assistants during various workshops.
The animals living with us help us in our activities. They mainly help us with their presence and are never used for hard work. No animal is ever forced into contact with people visiting us against its will.
